Clarence Worley - he's so cool

All he wanted was to see 3 kung foo movies with someone. Turned out it was Alabama that was destined to watch with him. Forever and ever as long as they both shall live. What made him so cool? He’s just a guy working in a comic book store, Sonny Chiba and Elvis fan, nothing special. The movie “True romance” started with Clarence (Christian Slater) talking to a woman. Unlike other young men, he was upfront with his intentions, saying to her he wants to take her to 3 kung Fu movies. Not dinner, without useless foreplay, only his simple request. I liked it. Obviously, she said no.
Alabama (Patricia Arquette) was paid to see movies with Clarence. And other things too, as she confessed after. They fell in love, got married and moved in together. Reckless and kind of cool. Not yet that.
He has a muse. An “Elvis elf” who he consults with. He knows his not real because his not delusional. Nonetheless, he decides to act upon his Muse’s advice and confronts Alabama’s pimp Drexel, knowing he is a crazy and violent man.

Whhhaaat?

His answer to Drexel’s bully provocation was very cool. The ending of that scene was unbelievable.
Clarence’s talk with his dad was genuine. Which was cool. The hotel room scene was very cool. The way he managed to pull off the deal was amazing.

But, With All his many brave, bald, reckless and cool endeavors, he succeeded reflecting his actions, as he ment, to Alabama. And she saw it! She saw Clarence as he truly wanted. As her own super hero. Sonny Chiba. Elvis. And eventually, pulled it off, alive (depends on who’s ending). In her eyes, he was so cool! And that was the confirmation he needed. He was cool not only in his imagination inflamed from comic books, kung Fu movies, Elvis’s lifestyle. In her eyes he was as cool as all that gets. She made it all real. She made his cool self come to life.
